Mette Perregaard was born in 1963 in Holstebro. In 1982, the art interest drew the young woman to Copenhagen, she was attracted to the Copenhagen poetry, music, and art scene.

The artist has since lived and worked in Copenhagen, though interrupted by longer stays in Italy, Spain, the Middle East and Greece.
The first years as an artist she worked expressively with various media: collage, drawing, photography, painting, installation and writing also poems.
Later, all exhibitions, catalogs and books were given two tracks: literary fiction and photography. In a short fiction in video, she entered into a dialogue with a classic piano trio, composed by the artist's husband, composer Jesús Rueda. The collaboration was an important milestone. The journey has become a recurring theme in later works.
From 2006-2012 Mette Perregaard disseminated Nordic art in Italy.
Now the artist and author is again producing own works, she is completing a novel for children and adults richly illustrated with drawings. In parallel she works with drawn stripes.
Instructor and photographer on short fiction "In the Labyrinth" in collaboration with composer Jesús Rueda and film clipper Rikke Malene Nielsen. Film Workshop DFI.
The video was shown in live version with classic trio and projection (version1), as well as musical short fiction (version 2).
