Can children fly? Children cannot fly. Dogs cannot fly. That's how you say. But a very special girl, Lærke, wants to learn how to fly. A slightly older girl, Åse, wants to write a novel. In The girl with the goose mask the two girls' stories are merged.

In working on the illustrations for this book, the artist reinvented her style and focus with a new tool, the iPad. She plays with the characters, who are mainly animals and children.

The artist is working on several ideas at the same time: signed and numbered editions of art prints, new texts and cartoon stripes based on own texts as well as other writers texts.

The book was important to write because it gives voice to a narrative, that was important in the author's life.
The story was waiting in the laptop's folder for many years. The story was waiting, while in the meantime the author published another book, exhibited, disseminated art and worked. Then finally, thanks to a life crisis, the book got underway, it was rewritten several times.
